We are looking to recruit a Connectivity and Data Centre Analyst to join the new Digital Policing Directorate based in Bradford with the need to potentially cover the Wakefield District.

The main purpose of the role is to assist with the support of maintenance, diagnostics and problem solving with the WYP Voice & Data Network and security infrastructure.

The duties will include assisting with the maintenance and development of the posture of the Network security systems and Remote Access Control to protect the internal WYP Network and Data from malicious attack, as well as identifying and proposing changes for implementation to the Force’s Voice and Data Network as applicable.

To be considered you will need to have a Level 3 (A Level or BTEC) or equivalent related qualifications, as well as working experience gained in a relevant environment. You must be willing and able to successfully undertake practical assessments relevant to the role.

Ability to demonstrate a logical and focussed approach to problem-solving together with knowledge of and experience of managing networks and firewalls would be desirable.

Ability and willingness to travel for business purposes is required, ideally you will have access to a motor vehicle and will be prepared to use it for business purposes.

The role would ideally suit candidates who have knowledge of networking in the following areas LAN, WAN and SAN network technologies, Cisco routers and switches, Cisco and Checkpoint firewalls, mobile data networks, traditional and VOIP telephony and wireless networking.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
