DVPO (Domestic Violence Protection Order) Support Assistant
Safeguarding Central Governance Unit (Leeds)

Fixed Term appointment to March 2020

West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a DVPO Support Assistant to join the dedicated DVPO team based in Leeds.

Working as part of a small team and in conjunction with Districts, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical service, liaising with victims and statutory and voluntary agencies. When required, providing and maintaining up to date information on various computer systems.

Eligible candidates will come with good communication, numeracy and literacy skills. You will need to have the ability to work unsupervised, work on your own initiative on a regular basis and be able to prioritise your own workload.

Furthermore, you must be able to successfully complete any necessary training on Police systems. You will already have good IT skills and a working knowledge of MS Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as an ability to gather, analyse, interpret and report information.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexibly and work from different locations to suit the needs of the unit. The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
