West Yorkshire Police Estates Department is looking to appoint a Maintenance Officers to join their Estates team based in one of their West Yorkshire Police buildings.

The key responsibilities will include carrying out inspections, planned maintenance tasks, decorations and repairs to buildings, fixtures, fittings and other resources as directed.

The routine inspections and planned maintenance would include as examples: testing of generator, compressors and other plant, alarm systems, emergency lighting and other designated items as appropriate in accordance with local procedures and Health & Safety Regulations.

The repairs would be to existing building maintenance plant, infrastructure, systems and furniture within the boundaries of the health and safety regulations.

There will also be the requirement to undertake the relocation of furniture, items and equipment in line with moves and changes and to support larger projects undertaken by the department.

You shall be required to undertake any other work as directed including working at different locations in the West Yorkshire Estate in order to provide business continuity and to enable and support force-wide needs.
