In return West Yorkshire Police wishes to employ a committed, enthusiastic, motivated and professional candidate to lead its Transport Directorate. Through the utilisation of excellent communication and leadership skills you will be responsible for a Transport Team of 65+ staff and a wide variety of fleet in excess of 1,100 vehicles. The role of Director is pivotal to ensure that the Directorate meets the operational requirements and strategic objectives of the Force. You will be responsible for the overall preparation, monitoring and control of vehicle capital and revenue budgets and to ensure that the transport budget is spent in accordance with Value for Money principles and considering sustainability.
