West Yorkshire Police are looking to appoint an FCI Digital Analyst to join the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS) and be part of our regional Forensic Collision Investigation team.

We are seeking to employ a highly motivated candidate to join us, where your overall purpose will be to provide specialist support in relation to estimation of vehicle speeds from CCTV cameras, using photographic, surveying and video imaging techniques. You will contribute towards the delivery of a comprehensive Forensic Collision Investigation service to the Criminal Justice System for high profile incidents.

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to articulate and present evidence in court, and is capable of displaying a high level of problem solving using mathematics and media sources. Ideal candidates will be self-confident, capable of learning quickly, have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a close team.

As part of your role you will be expected to attend collision scenes and work with incidents which can be of a sensitive or traumatic nature.

This role does follow a flexible working pattern of Monday to Friday, however, out of hours working may occasionally be requested to assist with ongoing investigations.
