West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Mark Burns-Williamson, is seeking to appoint a Delivery Manager to work with him to continue to make a real difference to the lives of people across communities in West Yorkshire by working across his multi-dimensional team and with partners to drive activity that ensures achievement of the outcomes and priorities of the Police and Crime Plan.

Responsible for managing and monitoring the approach to delivery within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) you will advise on what is needed in West Yorkshire to deliver on the outcomes and the priorities in the Police and Crime Plan and advise on where OPCC resources should be directed to making sure our communities are safe and feel safe.

You will have effective planning and organising, communication and report writing skills and significant knowledge/experience of community safety and criminal justice policy, along with experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with decision makers and key stakeholders to identify where change is needed and to provide expert, professional advice to senior colleagues and partners to ensure successful delivery.

With a proven ability to gather, analyse, interpret and report performance information to a variety of audiences utilising different formats and media, you will work with senior colleagues to provide professional advice on the development of the Police and Crime Plan to ensure that the needs of our communities and partners are listened to and inform OPCC delivery.

You will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent related qualification in a relevant subject.

You will be expected to travel nationally and across West Yorkshire to attend events as needed and be available outside normal hours to provide advice and support to the PCC where necessary.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

Interviews will be held in Wakefield on Tuesday 4 June 2019. Additional dates may be added where required.
