West Yorkshire Police are looking to appoint a Video Editor. You will assist in providing an effective and efficient video editing service to Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services’ Imaging Unit, based at Calder Park, Wakefield.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have previous experience of producing video edits in a professional/academic video editing environment and a detailed knowledge of, and the ability to switch between a variety of video editing software packages.

Furthermore, you will have the ability to listen and view video footage which can be graphic and disturbing as well as the ability to assess written transcripts in preparation for the editing of video interviews.

Due to the nature of the role, you must provide Biometric samples (fingerprints and DNA) for inclusion on the respective Police Elimination databases for routine speculative searching purposes and be prepared to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the Video Editing team.
