West Yorkshire Police, as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit, are looking to recruit an Intelligence Analyst based in Wakefield/Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established regional unit working alongside four police forces and partner agencies to tackle serious and organised criminality.

The role involves the analysis of crime and Organised Crime Groups to identify potential trends, risks and issues and development of tactical and strategic products. You will be expected to present intelligence at regional meetings and provide advice and guidance to SIO’s and external partners and gather evidence to achieve operational objectives.

The post holder will have excellent oral and written communication skills and an attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of and ability to operate computerised databases and experience of analysing complex data accurately and must be able to adapt to dynamic priorities and tasking.

The successful candidates will be subject to enhanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

For roles which are advertised as Career Progression Schemes, individuals will be appointed to the bottom scale point of the appropriate grade within the scheme, based on the role entry requirements.
