West Yorkshire Police are seeking to recruit a Change Manager for an initial fixed term of 12 months to join the Information Management team based in Wakefield.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for West Yorkshire Police to manage change projects within Force. As IM change management lead working with Information Management subject matter experts, you will develop and lead a risk-based, prioritised programme of projects and initiatives to improve compliance and information handling, and to reduce associated risk. You will ensure continuous improvement, promoting and embedding a positive information handling culture, developing strategies, processes and procedures to support corporate and departmental business plans.

The scope of your responsibilities will include managing, controlling and coordinating the effective and efficient design, delivery and implementation of a wide range of Information Management related projects. This includes ensuring projects are managed professionally and effectively using appropriate project management techniques to ensure completion to agreed timescales, quality and budget, and managing internal customers and a wide range of professional and specialist supplier teams.

You will lead and be supported by the IM change team, with responsibility also for overseeing the monitoring and reporting on Force Data Protection compliance, and the development and coordination of Force wide Information Management training to complement these projects.

You must have a degree or recent qualification and proven experience in managing programmes or projects within an organisation of a similar nature and size. Having experience of using Microsoft Project or similar Project Management software is desirable.

You will also be able to demonstrate your experience of leading, developing, managing and co-ordinating corporate change projects involving multiple stakeholders, as well as your detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of change and delivery methodologies.

We are seeking a candidate who is able to demonstrate their proven ability to lead, motivate and direct project teams comprising of internal stakeholders; professional support and external suppliers. The ideal candidate would be able to evidence their experience of successfully influencing Senior Managers.

Owing to the nature of this role you must be willing and able to travel for business purposes to be considered for this position.
