Server and Storage Analyst

We are looking to recruit a part-time Server and Storage Analyst to join the new Digital Policing Directorate, based in Bradford, with the need to potentially cover the Wakefield District.

The main purpose of the role is to install, maintain and support all telephony and associated equipment ensuring all associated SLAs and performance targets are met.

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has proven knowledge and skills in the maintenance, support and installation of an ISDX corporate telephony system, this will include the provisioning of analogue, digital and VOIP handsets, Voicemail system, ISDN2 and ISDN30 technologies, wiring distribution systems and Windows Servers.

Eligible candidates will also have a degree in Computer Studies or equivalent or relevant experience and experience of supporting operating systems and data centre scale infrastructures. This role also requires a production mind-set demonstrated in the management of services for customers, using facts and processes, and the primary importance of supporting the customers to do their job.

Although not essential it may benefit your application if you have skill and competency in supporting a large range of physical and virtual infrastructures along with associated storage and monitoring.

The successful candidate will also be able to work independently with a high-level of personal responsibility and with minimal supervision.

To be considered for this position, you must be willing and able to participate in a call out rota, you must also be willing to be seconded to any area of the Digital Policing Directorate, to work on improvement projects or in support duties.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

This post will be offered on a part time basis working 16 hours per week on Thursdays and Fridays, with pay commensurate to allow for local Market factors.
