Intelligence Assessor
Operations Intelligence Management Unit (OIMU)

We are looking to recruit an Intelligence Assessor to be based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team.

You will be responsible for liaising with local, regional and national partners in order to gather, disseminate and enhance intelligence collection and development; thereby minimising the known threat, identifying the emerging threat and managing the residual threat.

Eligible candidates will come with experience of working on complex investigations; have a detailed understanding of the recording, grading and handling of intelligence and will possess a good working knowledge and ability to operate computerised databases. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to review information and prioritise response according to threat and risk.

To be considered for this role, you must be willing and able to successfully complete any appropriate courses, for example, NSIM, PND, RIPA and gatekeepers. We also need someone who is prepared to work flexibly to suit the needs of the department, which includes assisting operationally throughout the UK, supporting the unit with meetings and seminars etc. Possession of a full, current UK/European driving licence is therefore essential.

The successful candidate must be a British Citizen and will be subject to enhanced personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. For security reasons you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.
