Business Support Assistant

West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, Mark Burns-Williamson, is seeking to appoint a Business Support Assistant for on a 12 months fixed term contract to support his work to continue to make a real difference to the lives of people across communities in West Yorkshire.
As Business Support Assistant, you will provide an efficient and effective support service to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. You will act as first point of contact for members of the public, dealing with all mail and calls to the office, organise meetings and arrange hospitality and travel, order goods and services for the office and support the Police and Crime Commissioner to communicate with people across West Yorkshire.
The ideal candidate will come with experience of word processing and MS Office software packages. You will require good literacy, numeracy and well developed communication skills, together with the ability to work with the business support team to meet deadlines. A basic knowledge of office systems and procedures is desirable.
As Business Support Assistant you must be prepared to work around West Yorkshire as required and occasionally to work outside of normal office hours.
Shortlisting will take place week commencing 2 July 2018.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 12 July 2018. Additional dates may be added where required.
