We are looking to appoint a Licensing Officer to join Leeds District – Safer Leeds & Partnerships, based at Elland Road, Leeds.

In this role, you will ensure that alcohol licensed premises adhere to licensing legislation and procedures and that they promote the licensing objectives in order to minimise crime and disorder.

You will liaise closely with venue management and council licensing partners and work with a small, effective team to achieve results in support of district priorities.

Applicants will have current knowledge and experience of licensing legislation and licensing procedures/policies, as appropriate.

Having a basic working knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Office. and holding a current full UK/European driving licence is essential.

Experience or knowledge of partnership working and/or the geography/demography of the Leeds District would be advantageous, but not essential.

This post is on a Job Share basis, 18.5 hours per week. Working days are Monday, Tuesday full Days & Wednesday am half day
