West Yorkshire Police, as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (YatH RSSS), is looking to recruit several Lead Quality Representatives to be based at Calder Park in Wakefield.

In this role you will support and maintain the mechanisms of the YatH RSSS Quality Management System (QMS), including the auditing of multiple forensic activities to evidence compliance with International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and Forensic Science Regulator (FSR) standards and requirements.

The ideal candidates we are looking for will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of ISO/FSR standards/requirements/accreditation.

They will also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a keen sense of attention to detail when checking, preparing, presenting reports and updating QMS records.

A fundamental understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action is also essential.

Due to the nature of the role, you must provide Biometric samples (fingerprints and DNA) for inclusion on the respective Police Elimination Databases for routine speculative searching purposes.

You must also be prepared to work flexible hours to suit business needs and to travel throughout the Yorkshire and Humber area as required.

As this is a Career Progression Scheme, candidates who possess the requisite experience and knowledge of the intermediate level Scale 6 role profile (£25,062 - £26,802 salary) or the advanced level Scale SO1 role profile ( £27,795 - £29,601 salary) may be considered eligible to start further along the progression scheme.
