Regional Counter Terrorism Security Advisor (CTSA)
Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Regional post predominantly covering Cleveland, Durham and Northumbria
One permanent full-time post

An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

In this role you will promote good practice in protective security at the customer level, support the Head of CTP NE Counter Terrorism in Counter Terrorism matters in line with the Anti-Terrorism Crime and Security Act 2001, and respond to nationally tasked initiatives from HM Government through the National Counter Terrorism Security Office. You will deliver tactical and strategic advice to Local Authorities, promoting Protect and Prepare activities to keep people safe.

You will be required to have an in-depth knowledge of national and local issues impacting on the Police Services and particularly Counter Terrorism issues, as well as having previous experience of working within a Security, Counter Terrorist, Special Branch or Covert environment.

In addition, you will have proven ability to analyse and present complex information and to confidently influence and negotiate at a senior level

You must be prepared to work flexible hours to suit the CTP requirements and should have the ability and willingness to travel throughout the Region for business purposes. This role involves training across the UK and you must be willing to travel and stay overnight when required.
