Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Group is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Researcher within the investigations team based at Rotherham.

The team provides and delivers specialist capabilities in regard to CSE/A to local forces working in close collaboration with national and international partners to deal with the most harmful individuals in this area of policing.

As a researcher you will provide timely and accurate support to the investigation team dedicated to child safeguarding.

You will work as part of the investigation team carrying out enquiries to assist the team in identifying and locating offenders.

You will have access to a multitude of systems to be able to build a complete and accurate picture of criminal activity, risk and harm.

Specific duties include interrogating local and national systems, creating intelligence packages including subject profiles, making enquiries with other departments/ forces and external organisations, attending operational briefings and filling in intelligence gaps and reporting these to the investigation teams.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, an aptitude for problem solving and the ability to work in a high-pressured environment. Proven research experience/working in an intelligence environment and experience of report writing would also be beneficial.
