West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a Finance & Commercial Director with responsibility to act as the Deputy Statutory Section 151 Officer, ensuring the Directorate operates effectively and to the highest possible professional standards.

You will provide a high-profile focal point for the Deputy Mayor’s Financial Advisor and assist where appropriate in the provision of the production of the West Yorkshire Police element of the statutory accounts and statistical returns. You will be accountable to the Chief Finance Officer for the delivery of accounting, budgeting, and financial planning objectives of the Force, adhering to all financial statutory requirements and other reporting deadlines. Completion of financial returns (Home Office, HMICFRS, NPCC, APCC, CIPFA etc).

You will deputise for the CFO where required on financial matters, along with proactively managing the performance, attendance, and wellbeing of the Directorate to the required standards. Please refer to the role profile for the full list of key outputs.
