West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit an Abnormal Loads Liaison Officer to join their Operational Support Department based at Carr Gate, Wakefield.

The purpose of the role is to record and monitor the smooth and safe passage of Abnormal Loads in the Force area, arranging escorts where appropriate, and ensuring hauliers comply with the relevant Regulations in relation to moving such loads.

The successful applicant will become a key point of contact for haulage companies to liaise with regarding the movement of abnormal loads within West Yorkshire.

Alongside administrative skills, applicants will need knowledge of Abnormal Loads Regulations and Legislation; knowledge of the road network in West Yorkshire and knowledge of national Roads Policing campaigns to be considered eligible for this post.
