We are looking to recruit an organisational behaviour delivery lead to join the Senior Leadership Team, based at Carr Gate Wakefield.

In this exciting role you will lead Heads of Department and Delivery Leads, you will enable them to manage the effective and efficient provision of training needs for West Yorkshire Police and its customers.

You will be an integral part of Force Strategic Boards, assisting in identifying areas for improvement, the subsequent prioritisation of training and implementation of the delivery of that required training.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Development. They will also be PIP 3 Accredited as Senior Investigating Officer in Major Crime/Homicide with recent investigative experience. Candidates must also have experience of sitting on strategic decision making boards.

You will be a subject matter expert in the field of the investigation of Serious and Complex Crime and directly deliver the PIP3 Senior Investigating Officer training to local, regional and national students.

You will be required to meet the SC vetting standard as this is required to be able to deliver the SOC elements of the SIO programme.

In the role, you will contribute to, and ensure the application of Core Leadership Team policy decisions. You will assist in the management of a ‘zero based’ Training School budget, ensuring all expenditure is necessary and proportionate to the value it adds to the product.

You will also generate, develop and maximise income generation opportunities ensuring any developments are converted into legal, functional and fully documented arrangements, all of which are in line with the ethics and values of the force.

The role will allow you to establish and maintain key internal and external partnerships and represent the organisation at local, regional and national boards to ensure that West Yorkshire Police is at the forefront of learning and development practice. You will transfer this best practice into current, effective training material for staff development.

By working in the role, you will provide specialist professional advice and contribute research, analysis and recommendations to change management initiatives. This is to ensure that organisational behaviour and delivery is effectively integrated and applied.

You will have the responsibility for driving the design of the overall learning curriculum in Crime, Health and Safety, IT Training and Multi Media products.

The role includes designing and delivering organisational behaviour and delivery strategies, processes and interventions that support the People Plan. These include initiatives which foster a high performing culture in which valuing learning and continuous improvement is the norm.

Candidates must be able to deputise as the head of learning and organisational development as required.

You must be willing to travel throughout the UK representing West Yorkshire Police. A full UK / European driving licence and have access to your own vehicle is desirable.
