Job Share 18.5 hours per week - Half day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

The Resourcing Department is seeking a well organised, highly motivated individual for the role of Resourcing Team Leader. Reporting to the Recruitment, Onboarding and Resourcing Manager you will have shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of half of the Resourcing team and the operational delivery of an efficient and effective recruitment, onboarding and resourcing service.

With a high level of activity coming through the department and a focus on improving customer service you will help transform how we operate on a day-to-day basis. You will need to demonstrate effective leadership skills in order to deliver streamlined processes, enhanced system and team capability, as well as developing key performance indicators and ensuring effective performance management of the team. In accordance with the Flexible Working for police staff policy, as a job share Team Leader, you may be required to occasionally overlap your working arrangements according to organisational need and cover for absence of your job share partner.

To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience of successfully leading and managing a team in a complex and busy working environment including team development and performance management. You will also need to show proven ability to innovate in order to resolve problems, enhance systems, create new and better ways of working in order to deliver best practice processes and a positive customer experience.

You should also be working towards a Level 7 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification or equivalent management qualification or have equivalent experience within an HR environment providing advice and guidance in relation to HR/Recruitment policies, procedures and compliance. This post is based at Headquarters however you must have the ability to travel around the Force area, and when required, throughout the UK.
