West Yorkshire Police as the lead Force for the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Crime Unit are looking to recruit a Investigative Support Officers to join a team tackling online child sex offenders as part of the Regional Organised Crime Unit based in Rotherham.

Please be aware that this role is also advertised to Detective Constables with only one role available for the successful applicant from Police Support Staff and Detective Constables.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established Regional alliance that is a key component in the response to serious and organised criminality.

As part of an investigation team you will perform a complex case building function in relation to the investigation of Organised Child Sexual Exploitation Crimes to result in the successful prosecution of offenders.

We are looking for candidates experienced in investigating serious crime and building complex case files. You will also be required to successfully complete other relevant training courses required for the role.

You will need a good working knowledge of the principles of disclosure (Criminal Procedures Investigations Act 1996) and desire to investigate those causing the greatest level of harm to children online.

You must be able to work flexibly to suit business needs. As this is a regional role you must be prepared to work outside the Force area as and when required.
