West Yorkshire Police have a rare opportunity available for a part-time Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to work 22.5 hours per week within our Occupational Health Unit based in Wakefield.

We need you to support the Occupational Health team in delivering a fully comprehensive Occupational Health nursing service across the West Yorkshire Police Force area, and to assist the Unit in promoting a healthy, safe and productive approach to work within the bio-psycho-social philosophy of West Yorkshire Police.

To be considered for this position, you will need to be a qualified Registered General Nurse who can evidence their formal qualification, or in your final year of working towards a formal qualification in Occupational Health Nursing as recognized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. You will also need to have experience of modern screening techniques and interpreting results, and you must be competent in the use of a range of computer based software packages such as Microsoft Office.

Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who is able to demonstrate their ability to take on their own workload, whilst working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Due to the nature of this post, you will also need to hold a full current UK/European driving license, and have access to a car which you are prepared to use for business purposes.
