West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit 2 Solicitors/Senior Legal Officers to advise and represent the Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in a variety of civil matters. The scope of the roles is flexible, to complement an established team but experience of personal injury work is particularly desirable for one of the posts.
You must have the ability and willingness to work flexibly in order to support the work of the force and to travel for purposes.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of, and experience within, criminal litigation, as well as civil litigation.
These posts are permanent, full time (37 hours per week) and suitable for job share. The application process will close at 23:55 hours on Tuesday 17th December 2019.
Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.
