This role will be a 2-year fixed term contract.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within West Yorkshire Police.  We are offering you to be a part of creating a world where children and young people are safe. 

We are looking to recruit someone who is able to assist the Head of Pol-Ed on the development and delivery of all content and CPD.

In this exciting role you will lead, manage and co-ordinate all of Pol-Ed’s content and CPD to ensure that it is relevant, current and in line with both the DfE curriculum and policing priorities.

You will be an integral part of creating engaging material to be delivered to children from EYFS through to Post-16 around a range to topic areas within: Relationships, Keeping Safe and Understanding the Law.

You will lead regular reviews on all content, making additions and amendments where needed and identifying where further content needs developing to ensure content is progressive across key stages. Using National Frameworks such as the National Curriculum, you will map coverage against the PSHE Association and identify objectives.

You will lead, manage, co-ordinate and deliver CPD within the force and external with schools to develop understanding and use of Pol-Ed to get the greatest impact.

You will engage with both internal and external partnerships nationally, to ensure own knowledge, and Pol-Ed content remains up to date with emerging needs and issues.

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working within a dynamic and changing environment, providing appropriate support were necessary.
