West Yorkshire Police are seeking to appoint additional Resourcing Assistants to work within the Resourcing Team based at Force Headquarters in Wakefield city centre.

About Us:

We are a large friendly team of Police Support staff, providing a high quality resourcing service for all departments across the Force, through the effective recruitment and deployment of Police Officers, Police Staff, Special Constables and Volunteers.

The Job:

As a Resourcing Assistant you will be the first point of contact for candidates; assisting with any application queries and administering and processing the resourcing steps in our end to end process, from advert through to appointment.

The Person:

To be a Resourcing Assistant, it is essential that you are competent in the use of a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office, and that you have a basic knowledge of HR/recruitment practices gained through experience of HR and/or administration work.

This is a varied, busy and demanding role which also requires excellent customer service, organisational and administration skills. You will play a key part in promoting West Yorkshire Police, therefore a personable, helpful and friendly manner is crucial to ensuring our customers receive the best experience possible.

Our current Resourcing Assistants are from varied working backgrounds - customer service, sales, teaching, retail, HR, banking, travel and recruitment.
