An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Crime Prevention Officer within Leeds District. This is to support Neighbourhood, District and Force level efforts in reducing the opportunity for acquisitive crime to occur, by developing sustainable solutions in areas of concern.

You should have previous experience of creating project plans to address a number of identified issues and have a basic knowledge of, and the ability to operate, relevant computerised databases.

Though not essential, it may aid your application if you can demonstrate a logical and focussed approach to problem-solving, utilising models such as SARA, Problem Analysis Triangle and the Routine Activity Theory.

Candidates must be willing and able to travel around the Force Area for business purposes as well as being prepared to be deployed to any District across the Force in relation to crime prevention matters.

Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.
