West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit a full time Control Desk and Research Operator to be based in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing. The overall purpose of the role is to support the Regional Senior Ports Officer, Regional Ports Co-ordinator, Regional Ports Analyst, Senior Ports Officer and Regional Ports Tactical Adviser in the efficient running of port operations in the North East of England. Specifically, to assist with the co-ordination of tasking of staff and CT activity, recording of performance data and management information, and intelligence research to support frontline staff.

Eligible candidates will come with:

- Proven office experience

- Previous experience within an intelligence environment and/or experience of research, along with a good understanding of the National Standards of Intelligence Management (NSIM)

- Experience of receiving and assessing intelligence

- Good working knowledge of, and ability to operate, computerised databases

We also require individuals who are prepared to work flexible hours. You must be willing and able to travel for business purposes and potentially to work for extended periods across or outside the NE Region.

The post involves working a rota pattern including some shifts to 10pm and weekends on 2 weeks in every 3 weeks, for which you will receive 14% shift allowance and the relevant weekend enhancement.
