West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit an Economic Crime Investigator to join a dedicated team investigating serious and complex financial crime.

In this exciting role, you will gather and develop evidence and intelligence in order to investigate and disrupt complex and serious fraud, money laundering and other financial crime including bribery and corruption. You will assist in enquiries leading to the prosecution of offenders at court, seizure of assets and recovery of monies to victims. You will provide support to Force policing by providing advice, guidance and expertise for economic crime related enquiries.

We are looking for candidates who know and understand Fraud, Money Laundering and other serious and complex Financial Crime, including conventional and covert investigative techniques. You must be able to plan and manage a basic criminal investigation and be competent in the use of computerised database and spreadsheet packages.

You will be required to travel and work flexibly for business purposes and to suit business needs, which may include working outside of normal hours. You must hold a full UK European Driving Licence and complete the police driving test.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
