West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint a Stores Clerk based at Wakefield District. Due to an internal promotion. We are happy to announce a vacancy to join our workshop stores team here at Unit 41 Workshop.
The ideal candidate would be preferred to have a motor parts or trade background and experience of working in a store’s office would be advantageous although this is not essential. An understanding of car parts would be beneficial.
We are a multi car manufacturer stores department not dedicated to one type so it’s a very demanding role. The role requires the utilisation of a stores counter to address our technicians’ requirements, issuing parts and addressing any problems. Back-office function to support the counter person and our Vehicle Preparation Department, ordering stock, specific parts for jobs ongoing and processing invoices for our Finance team for payment along with frequent stock checks.
The ideal candidate should possess good verbal, communication, and organisational skills along with the ability to operate a computer with Microsoft Office is essential we do use other software packages, but training will be given on these as on the job training.
Salary starting at £23,121.00 which increases to £24,462.00 per anum (pro rata) through an annual increment.

37 Hour week (Mon- Fri)
