People Services are the first point of contact for our colleagues and managers for people related matters. We provide initial advice and guidance around HR policy, procedure, regulatory and legislative requirements, in addition to managing the administration of HR processes throughout the employee life cycle.

The People Services team consists of circa 30 colleagues and these are split into six teams covering the Districts and Directorates across West Yorkshire Police. The successful candidate will work within one of those teams and deliver a comprehensive and professional customer focused service to all staff and managers across the force in accordance with Force Objectives, Policy and Procedure and legislative requirements.

This could be a stepping-stone for those interested in progressing their career within HR.

The successful candidate must have a good knowledge gained through experience of HR and administration work, have a good knowledge of, and is able to use a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office, with previous experience of using computer packages to obtain management information data and is willing to travel throughout the Force area as required.
