The National VIPER Bureau provides over 10,000 Identification Parades every year to 20 Police Forces across the UK. As the Service Capability Manager, you will be responsible leading the team that deliver the VIPER Image Database, training, change processes, and customer services to support the delivery of the VIPER Service.

You will be responsible for growing the VIPER Image Database of over 50,000 images, working with stakeholders to ensure that it meets the needs of the VIPER Subscribers and complies with relevant legislation and image standards.
Using your interpersonal skills and experience you will foster and build relationships with community and business contacts to facilitate acquiring new images for the VIPER Image Database and provide excellent customer service.
You will author and maintain documentation to support the business and technical processes that underpin your business areas.
Working the VIPER Head of Information Technology, the Service Delivery Manager and reporting to the Imaging Manager you will use your knowledge of Data Protection Act and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act Code D to the manage the data VIPER holds and its information security.

You will line manage a team of 6 reporting directly to the Imaging Unit Manager. Your team will consist of, 3 Engagement Officers, 1 Business Change Manager, 1 Training and Systems Manager, and 1 Business Delivery officer. You will be based at the Divisional HQ at Normanton. An element of Hybrid working is available to meet the needs of the business, some travel will be expected when meeting with stakeholders and other contacts, therefore having means of transport is a requirement for the role.
