We are looking to recruit a Connectivity and Data Centre Analyst to join the new Digital Policing Directorate based in Bradford with the need to potentially cover the Wakefield District.

The main purpose of the role is to manage, maintain, support, monitor and ensure the integrity of the West Yorkshire Police ICCS call centre infrastructure (which comprises of Voice and Data networks) in compliance with nationally agreed security protocols.
You will be responsible for delivering effective IT to support business and operational requirements, and to ensure the operational capability of West Yorkshire Police is maintained. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the continuous development of IT across the Force both now and in the future as new technologies become available in order to embed technology and maximise business benefits for the organisation.

We are looking for candidates who have a related degree or equivalent qualification(s) and 3 years experience in a relevant environment. You will also have knowledge of managing Networks and the ability to use Network monitoring tools. We are also seeking a candidate who can work independently with a high-level of personal responsibility and with minimal supervision.

This role would ideally suit candidates with extensive proven skills and experience in IT networking and technical infrastructure and technical knowledge in the following areas; LAN and WAN network technologies, Cisco routers, switches and firewalls, traditional and VOIP telephony including Call Manager systems, IVR’s and Voice recording systems. Windows Server experience would be advantageous.

To be considered for these positions, you must be prepared to participate in the department callout rota and be willing to travel for business purposes. In addition you must be willing to be seconded to any area of the Digital Policing Directorate to work on improvement projects or in support duties.. Access to a motor vehicle for business use is desirable.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
