We are looking to recruit two DBS Disclosure Assistants to join our Information Management's DBS Unit based at Force Headquarters in Wakefield.

The successful candidates will provide an effective and efficient higher level disclosure service to the Disclosure and Barring Service in compliance with the DBS Quality Assurance Framework.

To be considered for this role, you must have a basic knowledge of and ability to use computer packages such as Microsoft Office and be willing to undertake and successfully complete IT courses relevant to the role.

Our ideal candidate will also have experience in a relevant field, and will be able to demonstrate research skills and techniques, as well as the ability to use research as an aid to decision-making. A basic knowledge and understanding of Disclosure and Barring Service and the Data Protection Act (GDPR) would also be desirable.

In addition, you must be prepared to work and travel throughout the Force area for business purposes, as required. You will also be required to adopt a flexible approach to working hours to meet service and client group needs.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to pass a Clerical Checking and Verbal Critical Reasoning assessment test prior to interview, and if successful, you will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
