West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint a Senior Coroner Officer to play a key role in a unique team supporting the work of HM Coroner.

You will lead the day-to-day operations of the team ensuring we maintain high standards of performance and comply with current policy and legislation. You will be responsible for all team functions including recruitment, training and development, resource availability and deployment, attendance management, performance measurement and PDR setting.

You will have proven experience of leading and managing a team and will be able to use your sensitivity and resilience to maintain the morale and motivation of the team.

You will be passionately committed to maintaining and developing an excellent service for bereaved families. To do so, you must be able to work with stakeholders to support the work of the Coroner and have experience of working effectively in an environment requiring tact and diplomacy.

It is also important that you are good with people, great in a team and naturally resilient. You will be approachable, understanding and a problem solver. You will be proactive in continuous personal development in role related skills and knowledge.
