We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Learning Team Manager to join the Learning and Development Department based at Carr Gate, Wakefield.

In this exciting role, you will lead a team in the design, development and delivery of health, safety and first aid learning and development interventions, in accordance with Health & Safety and First Aid Legislation, HMIC guidelines, Policing Plan and organisational needs.

You will provide a professional support service to the Learning and Development Centre by managing the customer service team and assist, as required, in other areas of training design and delivery within the Leadership and Professional Development department according to business needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates holding a NEBOSH Certificate, who also have a Level 3 Learning and Development qualification (CTLLS or equivalent), and hold or able to gain a First Aid at Work Certificate.

You must also have the willingness to assist other Departments within LDC with their learning and development commitments when required.

The candidate should have previous experience of effective team leadership and be able to demonstrate an ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.

To be considered for this position, you will also need a good working knowledge of Microsoft based applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexible hours, weekends and out of business hours as required to meet organisational needs and travel for business purposes within the West Yorkshire area, region and nationally.
