West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit 1 full time DBS Research Officer to join the DBS - Information Management Unit, based at Force Headquarters in Wakefield.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for processing Disclosure and Barring Service applications. In this role, you will interpret and analyse information on local and national Police systems, accurately recording information in line with national legislation and the DBS Quality Assurance Framework.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have excellent literacy skills and have the ability to competently use a range of computerised database systems and IT packages, such as Microsoft Office. This role requires the successful candidate to have previous experience in researching and interpreting information and having experience of office systems and procedures. It is desirable to have a basic knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations but not essential as training will be provided.

To be considered for this role you must be willing and able to undertake and successfully complete relevant departmental and Force training on West Yorkshire Police systems.

The department operates Monday to Friday however, you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit the requirements of the department. The role is also subject to agile working.
