West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit a number of Intelligence Analysts. This role is an exciting and challenging one, giving applicants the chance to push themselves and develop their analytical skill set. You will be working as part of an established team and given assistance and training to achieve your full potential. We are looking for individuals who are keen to be involved in investigations from their inception to the end result.

Eligible candidates will be educated to Degree level or have relevant analytical experience or experience within an intelligence environment.

In this role you will provide an efficient analytical service to meet the needs of the organisation, identifying and using the most appropriate analytical products and techniques, enabling management to make informed operational decisions.

You will work on live investigations and operations, analysing and interpreting various data and producing this work to an evidential standard whereby you may be required to attend court to present this evidence.

You will need excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as experience of analysing complex data accurately and a good working knowledge of computerised databases.

This role would suit someone with a thorough understanding of the interpretation and graphical representation of data.

In addition, you must be prepared to work flexibly to suit business needs, travel for business purposes, and work anywhere in the Force area if required. You will also be required to complete your (Intelligence Professionalisation Programme) Portfolio and will be supported and given relevant training to achieve this.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.

As this is a career progression scheme post, candidates who possess the requisite experience and knowledge of the Entry Level Scale 5 (£23,817 - £26,016) or the Advanced Level Scale 6 (£26,865 - £28,725) may be considered eligible to start further along the progression scheme.
