Temporary Operational Security Advisor
Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)
Leeds
Fixed Term for 12 months due to funding – with high potential of extension

Existing WYP Staff applying for this role on a secondment basis must have the support of their District Commander or Director.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Operational Security Advisor to fulfil this exciting vacancy on an initial fixed-term basis for 12 months from start date in the role but with high potential of extension beyond this period.

As an Operational Security Advisor, you will be responsible for providing an independent source of specialist, covert law enforcement and risk management expertise. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development and implementation of operational security across the 7 Force CTP NE Regional model. In addition, you will act as a central point of contact for matters pertaining to operational security and supporting the wider CT network.
To be considered for this position can you answer yes to the following questions?

• Do you have experience of formal risk management techniques?
• Do you have experience of managing information or intelligence gathering techniques?
• Do you have knowledge of the legislative environment relating to covert and intrusive operations by public bodies?
. Do you already hold or have the ability to successful achieve and maintain the College of Policing OPSY Advisor accreditation course?
• Have you knowledge of current practices and procedures in managing public body covert law enforcement techniques?
