West Yorkshire Police, Digital Policing (IT) are seeking a Business Analyst to support our Innovation team to deliver a range of software / digital projects that are critical to our achieving the corporate strategy. Throughout the project lifecycle, you’ll work with our business stakeholders and project delivery teams to shape ideas into viable projects and develop realistic business requirements and processes which will contribute to effective business solutions.
Purpose of role:

To engage with the business ensuring the execution, delivery, and management of client expectations in relation to any significant change in technology or technology services used by the business. Work to improve alignment of Digital Policing services to business requirements across all areas of the business, communicate strategy and direction of the department and resolve customer issues of service delivery.

Key skills / experience required:

• Proven experience of business relationship management and stakeholder management
• Experience of performing business analysis functions and requirement gathering for technical solutions
• Knowledge of marketing and communication with customers along with excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
• A proven methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
• Knowledge and a working experience of formal project management methodology, such as Prince 2, Scrum, DSDM, Agile etc.
• Proven experience of successfully influencing Senior and Middle Managers in respect of technology change and technology projects
• Has the ability to travel for business purposes to enable visits to any operational site in the Force area.
• Has a full current UK/European driving licence with access to a motor vehicle and is prepared to use this for business purposes.
