West Yorkshire Police are looking to appoint an Internet Intelligence Investigator. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

In this challenging role, you will be required to deliver internet intelligence and investigations capability, coordination and to support the unit, providing tactical support and advice to counter terrorism investigations.

The ideal candidate will have proven technical online knowledge, experience and training, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to interrogate computerised databases, as well as knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse Act and European Convention on Human Rights Articles (ECHR). Although not deemed essential, it may also benefit your application to have knowledge and a good understanding of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA), Investigatory Powers Act (IPA), and Directed Surveillance Authorities.

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills, and the physical and emotional resilience to deal with abusive and offences images. You must also be prepared to work flexible hours to suit CTP requirements and be willing and able to travel for business purposes and potentially work for extended periods across or outside NE region.

This is a job share role, working Monday and Tuesday, 14.8 hours per week.

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to enhanced level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTPNE. For security reasons you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.
